The Story of Christ Bracelet

What IS a Story of Christ Bracelet?

Well, it begins like this:

Over 2000 years ago, a STAR from the Orient led THREE WISE MEN to the birth of a KING...

Each word that is underlined above is represented by a bead or group of beads in the bracelet.

The story and the bracelet continue noting just some of the wonderful attributes

of Christ's life and what He did for you, and me.

Each bracelet arrives in an organza bag, perfect for gift-giving.

There is also an attached card that has the entire story so that you may share Christ's life with others.

These cards are now available in English OR Spanish.

Where did you get the idea for the Story of Christ Bracelets?

A few years ago a very good friend of mine came to my house on Christmas morning.  She couldn't wait to show me the gift she had received.  Knowing that I made beaded jewelry, she said to me, "You HAVE to start making these!"

After a little online research, I found these pieces had several different names and were available in several variations.  I knew it wasn't a new idea, but certainly a message that needed to be spread.  I was anxious to help spread it.

How long have you been making Story of Christ Bracelets?

After seeing my friend's bracelet in December of 2007, I started hunting down just the right beads to compile the right length for a bracelet.  This was the hardest part!  During that winter, a dear friend had invited me to a Bible Study that, little did she know, I SO needed to be in right at that moment.  (It's a "God thing".)  So by March, I had completed my first piece that was ready to share.  Who else to share it with but my Bible Study friend!  The word spread from there.

So that Spring I became involved in the planning of our church's Vacation Bible School.  As part of the Planning Committee, we had decided that it would be great to supply Bibles to the 200 children we anticipated arriving at VBS.  When I returned to my Bible Study group asking for prayers for this goal to be met, the group unanimously decided on a project called "Bracelets for Bibles".  We were going to make and sell bracelets to raise the funds to purchase 200+ Bibles.

And WE DID IT!

What happened after the fundraiser?

After the fundraiser, folks were still asking for more bracelets so I, of course, continued to make them.  But the question was what to charge.  With the fundraiser over, the price could go down a bit.  However, another dear friend (I'm so blessed with so many) suggested that I just find another cause and keep the price the same.  DUH!  Why didn't I think of that?!

Without hesitation, I KNEW exactly the cause to work with...Just One More Day.  Therefore, since June of 2008 $5 from every single bracelet sold has gone, and will continue to go to the non-profit organization of Just One More Day.

Who is Just One More Day?

Just One More Day was organized by Christine Martin.  A mother of four girls who in December of 2006 lost her oldest daughter to an inoperable brain tumor, a DIPG.  Christine was a friend of a friend's sister who, upon her daughter's diagnosis I followed and prayed for faithfully.

PLEASE take the time to visit her website and see how you can help the severely underfunded research for diffused intrinsic pontine gliomas that is taking the lives of approximately

200 random children each year.

Every penny received by Just One More Day goes DIRECTLY to DIPG research.
